Facelift (Rhytidectomy)
Before and After Photos
Over time, the effects of gravity, exposure to sun, dry air, and general stress takes its toll on the face and neckline. Jowls can develop under the jaw line with folds and fat deposits. Facelifts (rhytidectomy) are used to reposition or "lift" the skin, fat and excess tissue on the face and neck. A facelift improves the appearance of sagging skin and reduces the signs of aging. Necklifts are used to tighten and better define jawlines, reduce double chins and improve other areas below the chin.
If you are bothered by signs of aging in your face, facelift surgery may be right for you. Technically known as rhytidectomy, a facelift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck, such as:
- Sagging in the midface
- Deep creases below the lower eyelids
- Deep creases along the nose extending to the corner of the mouth
- Fat that has fallen or is displaced
- Loss of muscle tone in the lower face may create jowls
- Loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw can make even a person of normal weight appear to have a double chin
Rejuvenation procedures typically performed in conjunction with a facelift are brow lift, to correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow, and eyelid surgery to rejuvenate aging eyes.
What facelifts won't do:
As a restorative surgery, a facelift does not change your fundamental appearance and cannot stop the aging process.
Is it right for me?
A facelift can only be performed surgically; non-surgical rejuvenation treatments cannot achieve the same results, but may help delay the time at which a facelift becomes appropriate and complement the results of surgery. Facelift surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires to to try to fit any sort of ideal image.
Facelift surgery is a good option for you if:
- You are physically healthy
- You do not smoke
- You have a positive outlook and specific, but realistic goals in mind for the improvement of your appearance
Browlift
The forehead or brow lift corrects sagging eyebrows, horizontal expression lines and forehead wrinkles. The browlift can also improve what are commonly referred to as frown lines. Improvements are made to the deep muscles as the skin and superficial muscles are tightened for a more youthful appearance.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) removes excess skin from the upper and lower eyelids to eliminate puffiness around the eyes. New techniques provide additional contouring capabilities. Corners of the eyes can be elevated to achieve a very elegant look, expression muscles can be strengthened to erase wrinkles, and tone can be added to provide a more rested, youthful appearance.
What is cosmetic eyelid surgery?
Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. It gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert.
Treatable conditions:
- Upper eyelid surgery can remove excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the upper eyelids.
- Loose or sagging skin that creates folds or disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision, can be treated by eyelid lift surgery.
- Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can remove excess skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelid.
- Bags under the eyes can be corrected by blepharoplasty.
- Lower eyelid surgery can correct droopiness of the lower eyelids, showing white below the iris (colored portion of the eye).
Is it right for me?
A blepharoplasty procedure is usually performed on adult men and women who have healthy facial tissue and muscles and have realistic goals for improvement of the upper and/or lower eyelids and surrounding area.
You should undergo blepharoplasty surgery for yourself, not to fulfill someone else's desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image.
Good candidates for cosmetic eyelid surgery are:
- Healthy individuals who do not have a life-threatening illness or medical conditions that can impair healing
- Non-smokers
- Individuals with a positive outlook and specific goals in mind for blepharoplasty
- Individuals without serious eye conditions
You must tell your doctor if you have any of these medical conditions:
- Eye disease such as glaucoma, dry eye or a detached retina
- Thyroid disorders such as Graves’ disease and under or overactive thyroid
- Cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure or other circulatory disorders or diabetes
Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)
Before and After Photos
Nose contouring surgery (rhinoplasty) reshapes the nose to improve its appearance and proportion in relation to other facial features. Bringing the nose into balance withthe rest of the face can dramatically improve ones appearance. We offer computer imaging, which is particularly useful when considering rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty or nose surgery, sometimes referred to as “nose reshaping” or a “nose job,” improves the appearance and proportion of your nose, enhancing facial harmony and self-confidence. Surgery of the nose may also correct impaired breathing caused by structural abnormalities in the nose.
Enhancing your appearance with nose plastic surgery
While the shape of your nose is usually the result of heredity, the appearance may have been altered in an injury or during prior surgery.
What can surgery of the nose accomplish?
Rhinoplasty surgery can change:
- Nose size, in relation to the other facial structures
- Nose width, at the bridge
- Nose profile, with visible humps or depressions on the bridge
- Nasal tip, that is large or bulbous, drooping, or too upturned
- Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
- Nasal asymmetry and deviation
Is it right for me?
Nose cosmetic surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image.
A rhinoplasty procedure is a good option for you if:
- Your facial growth is complete and you are 13 years of age or older
- You are physically healthy
- You do not smoke
- You have specific, but realistic goals in mind for the improvement of your appearance
Chin Implants
Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant or reduction surgery on the bone. Many times a plastic surgeon may recommend chin surgery to a patient having nose surgery in order to achieve facial proportion, as the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose. Chin surgery helps provide a harmonious balance to your facial features so that you feel better about the way you look.Chin augmentation is used to correct the overall balance of a patient's facial features. Chin augmentations (genioplasty) strengthen the appearance of a receding chin by increasing its projection; while chin reductions make a protuberant chin less prominent.
Lips
Lip Augmentations use collagen, fat injections or implants to enhance the fullness of the lips. The simple outpatient procedure usually takes less than an hour and is performed under a local anesthetic. Either Hylaform or Fat cells are injected into the lips to achieve dramatic results in the lips or cheeks.
PermaFacial™ Lip Enhancement
Lip enhancement techniques may be separated into two kinds: temporary and permanent. Temporary techniques require the use of injectable fillers repeated every 6-9 months to maintain their appearance. Permanent techniques generally involve the use of injectable gel, fat or implants.
As a result of limitations associated with existing enhancement techniques, extensive research has led to the creation and development of the PermaFacial™ implant, a revolutionary new implant used for lip enhancement.
For lips, PermaFacial™ implant is unlike anything we've ever seen. The variety of patient needs that can be addressed with the Perma procedure is immense.

Stem Cell Facelift
This noninvasive facelift works by injecting the patient's own stem cells into key facial compartments so that the skin can begin to restore and repair itself naturally. Results are comparable to a surgical facelift in certain people. The stem cell facelift is especially effective in younger patients who do not require major excisions of skin. For the older patients with excessive loose skin, the best option may be a surgical facelift in conjunction with stem cell transfers.
Injections can be done in all areas of the face (cheeks, nasolabial folds and underneath the eyes which can obviate the need to perform a blepharoplasty). It can be used as a malar “cheek” lift or to fill in sunken or dark circles under the eyes.
Other benefits include improved pigmentation, closer pores, and a better overall complexion. Because the stem cells are easily accepted, they act as a rejuvenator to the tissues already there. This results in skin with an overall younger and tighter appearance. The stem cell injections last several years and recovery is less than 1 week.
